Abstract

Nowadays, many books are focusing the trend of freedom from poetic license and rhyme and want to replace prosaic sonnet with vertical sonnet. But in fact, in this way, the ancient heritage of Arabic literature will collapse and the poetry will lose its beauty in the choice of words. So, it is necessary to present the knowledge of poetry in such an easy way that people's minds don't find it difficult to understand it. For this purpose, Maulana Faiz Ur Rehman Al Usmani, the founder of the Institute of Islamic Sciences, Islamabad, has written a book named, “Muzakkirat Fi Al Arooz". He has spent a lot of effort and mentioned a lot of poetic evidence so that the readers can practice and understand ilm alarooz easily. This article will discuss brief introduction of Molana Faiz Ur Rehman Usmani, his educational journey and services. Likewise, this article will present his book about ilm ul Arooz, its methodology and features. Then it will give suggestions regarding it.
