Abstract

Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) was a great example for humanity. He demonstrated a noble character and a pleasing personality. His sayings, sermons and dialogues reflect his traditions. Besides these qualities, he was an exemplary teacher too. He had a very unique Teaching Methodology, which is widely accepted in Today’s world, like Teaching through similes & metaphors, Repetition Method, Demonstration Method, Drawing Method and Question-Answer Method. He taught not only through his words but also practically applied them according to the situations. He used a variety of techniques.  As a teacher, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) himself cultured his companions and taught them in such a way that the Arabs transformed into a civilized nation in just twenty-three years. He personally demonstrated all his methodologies by applying them in real world. He was influential too, but people followed him with respect, not by any pressure and this attribute made his teaching everlasting.  It is necessary to bring his ways of teaching and teaching techniques in light so that teachers of the day can use them in their daily practice to become a successful teacher.
