Compatibility of Prophetic Teaching Methodology in Contemporary Education System

Abstract

Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) was a human being who served as a great example for humanity. He personified a moral character and conduct. He had a good character with a pleasing personality in each domain. His sayings, sermons and dialogues with others on different issues are evidence of this attribute. His talk is always a symbol of precision. The fact is that the Prophet (Peace & blessings be upon him) was the most eloquent in Arabia. Besides eloquent the Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be upon him) had a very unique Learning-Teaching Methodology which is being  accepted in Today’s Education Policies, such as: Telling Method, Observation Method, Demonstration Method, Doing and Experiencing Method and Question-Answer Method. As a teacher, the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) himself cultured his companions and taught them in such a way that the whole Arab peninsula transformed into a civilized and refined nation in just twenty-three years. His unique way of teaching could make it possible. He set himself as practical example in every sphere of life; he was a loving father and husband, a sincere friend and companion, a devoted teacher and reformer. He personally demonstrated all his methodologies by applying them in real world. His life was a symbol of humble, compassion to all, patience and kindness. He was influential too, but people followed him with respect, not by any pressure and this attribute made his teaching everlasting.
