Abstract

In the time of Ayubian, the influence of the slaves, known as the Mamalik-e-Jaraskiya, increased. King Mansour bought many slaves and trained them as militant. With the passage of time their interference in the affairs of Kingdom was increased. As a result, in 5 AH, the government was shifted to the Mamalik-e-Jaraskia of Jaraskiya.There were some emperors of the Kingdom of Jaraskiya who considered Egypt as their real homeland and took special care of its welfare. But most of the sultans were very cruel. They violated the political rights of the people and imposed illegal taxes on them. Contrary to the political situation, literature was very popular in Egypt during this period. These Sultans spread a network of mosques, madrassas and universities in Egypt.
