Abstract

Madinah state is defined as an Islamic welfare state. The welfare state refers to a model state that was established in Madinah. It was truly an Islamic ideological state. The Holy Qur'an ordered that the state of Madinah be a welfare state in which an ideal society is formed. Moreover, all Muslims living there can live in harmony with the followers of other religions. The Holy Qur'an declares that collective justice and unity are the foundations of the welfare state and as the spirit of Islam. It teaches the Muslims that when you become dominant in any society, first lay the foundation of a stable welfare state and do not show any negligence in the establishment of collective justice in this society. And without any religious, linguistic or national bias and any extremism and enmity, show justice and fairness, patience and tolerance, equality and unity in affairs with every nation and religion. The vision of the ideal welfare state that the Prophet ﷺ gave is not only admirable but also worthy of emulation for all the countries of the world. This study uses a method of analytical research. In this study, the researcher chose to integrate ideas from both ancient and modern views by first integrating concepts from primary sources relevant to the issue, and then enriching the subject with secondary sources and modern references.
